Tomatoes | A Little Goes a Long Way

Here are a few tidbits of information to ensure that your tomatoes are stored and used properly
→ Store your tomatoes at room temperature and not in direct sunlight.
→ To speed up the ripening process, store the tomato in a plain brown paper bag with apples or pears
→ Before using your tomatoes, rinse under running water and drain on a cleaning towel.
→ To keep all the juices inside, slice the tomato from the stem end to the bottom.

→ To remove the seeds, cut the tomatoes in half crosswise, squeeze over a bowl and use your hand to catch the seeds as the juice runs out.
